Greg Wallinger
Portland Co-Director, Stand for Children
Before joining the Portland staff of Stand for Children, Greg received his degree in Political Science from Susquehanna University. After working briefly as a bond paralegal, Greg moved to Montana where he served as a VISTA organizing professionals from rural communities to prevent youth drug and alcohol abuse.
“In communities around the country and the world, I have witnessed the potential people have to positively affect the places where they live--if given the skills and the opportunities to succeed. I have also seen the damage that can happen when a society doesn’t provide essential services to its most vulnerable citizens. Through my work at Stand for Children, I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of progressive politics, and the positive impact we can make through systemic change for children.”
