Rep. Mary Nolan
Rep. Nolan is serving her fifth term as an Oregon legislator and serves as House Majority Leader. During her tenure, Nolan spearheaded the largest increase in education funding in recent history, achieved a dramatic increase in funding for women’s health care and family planning services and led the successful effort to expand health coverage to over 100,000 Oregonians.
Nolan is a small business owner, and has served as Chair of the NASA industry advisory council; as a consumer advocate for the Oregon Construction Contractors Board; as the Portland Environmental Services Director; and as the Chair of the Portland Private Industry Council.
Nolan was in the first class of women admitted to Dartmouth College, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Math. Her volunteer work includes leadership roles at Oregon NARAL, Planned Parenthood, the New Rose Theater, the League of Women Voters and several local schools. She is married to Mark Gardiner. Their daughter Liz started high school this fall.
